Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 19 October 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, starting a demo session, or otherwise using Credence (“the tool”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not sign up or use the tool.

2. Educational and decision-support purposes only

Credence is a decision-making assistant: you describe a situation and a focused question, and it returns a calibrated, structured answer — a percentage, a chosen option, or a score. It is intended for educational and decision-support purposes only. It does not provide professional advice of any kind (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise), and every output is a model estimate, not a verified judgment. Outputs must never be used as the sole basis for a real-world decision, and should always be reviewed by a qualified person with relevant expertise before being acted on.

3. What you submit

Do not enter real personal, confidential, or sensitive information (including health information) into the situation or question fields. Use de-identified or hypothetical scenarios only. Anything you submit is sent to the AI provider you select (Jev, Clef, or Perplexity Decisions) to generate a response, and is logged by Credence (see Section 6) for operational and quality purposes.

4. Accounts

Full accounts are provisioned by an administrator after a request is approved. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Access may be suspended or revoked at any time, including for misuse or when no longer needed for your role.

5. Demo accounts

Demo accounts are self-serve, require no approval, and are intended for trying the tool only. A demo account and its access expire automatically 48 hours after email verification. Do not use a demo account for real-world decisions, and do not submit any information you would not want logged (see Section 6).

6. Logging and data use

Each question you ask is logged with the situation text, the question, the provider's response, a timestamp, and your account email, for the purpose of operating, debugging, and improving the tool. Logs from demo accounts are stored separately from full-account logs. We do not sell your data or share it outside what is necessary to generate a response (the AI provider you selected) and to operate the tool itself.

7. No warranty, limitation of liability

The tool is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any decision made, or outcome arising from, reliance on output from this tool.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the tool after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Note: Credence is an educational decision-making assistant, not a substitute for professional advice. Outputs are model estimates and should not be used as the sole basis for a real-world decision.
